Lovely room. Very clean and well appointed with complementary snacks and water. All rooms are up on the second and third floors. Tough with stairs for us older people. I liked the fact it was all on line with codes for the doors. Many may think it's a turn off. No front desk. Not much to do in town but a nice restaurant across the street. We used the laundromat close by.

We had an excellent stay at the Loyalist Inn. The location couldn't be better. The price was phenomenal. The room was clean and well stocked. The dining room and common areas were inviting and lovely. I'm very happy this building was restored to being a welcoming inn.

On line check in process is a challenge if you do not have Wi-Fi access whereas there is no front desk attendant in the evening. I found I needed to make a desperate call at 8pm hoping I would get a response. I did, but still a bit nerve wracking. Parking was questionable, meaning we didn’t really understand where we should be parking. Rooms are code access only. We chose the suite, which is on the 3rd floor, narrow steps, no elevator. The first floor common area was deserted and smelled quite musty. Room was nice enough but the TV was constantly buffering, bedside lamps were not user friendly, could not easily open microwave, very nice bathroom however there was no room at all, none, to place any personal items. The only tiny shelf was on a slant which was unusable. Wish I could say this was a good experience, but not so much.

We stayed here for basketball provincials and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was incredibly friendly and inviting. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. In truth, I'd come back here to stay again just because of the exceptional staff alone.

We had planned and paid for two nights. We left the very next morning after the first night and moved on to Yarmouth. As one reviewer put it, this inn might have worked in the 1920s, but not today. I should have paid more attention to the fact that the email I received said there was usually no one on-site. My wife and I found the fact that there was no on-site staff very disconcerting. For me, personally, this lack of staff demonstrated a lack of belief in the property by the owners. It is really just an expensive rooming house. Oddly, the main floor is or was a pub/restaurant that now sits there with no one around, rather a bit too creepy for my tastes. About our room, it wasn't too bad. It had a fully updated bathroom, and it looked nice. However, the room had an odor. It was very distinctive. My wife described it as an old building smell. This odor gave me a headache throughout the night. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this inn.

Made prepaid reservation for two nights but had to cancel four days out. Left a voice mail, two emails, and had three conversations with various staff members to ensure cancellation. I was ensured that my prepayment would be reimbursed with each conversation. It took 6 days since I cancelled my reservation to have my credit card reimbursed. It's a hit or miss trying to reach any hotel representative. Avoid this place as they are not forth coming with any customer service.

I had no issues during my stay. It’s self check-in similar to an Airbnb. The inn is newly renovated and my room was clean. Safety wasn’t a concern, I was more worried that it may be haunted; I stayed during off season so it was really quiet. I used the wifi for hours at night and no complaints.

Check in was easy (late check in), room was very nice and clean along with the bathroom. I would stay here again in a heart beat
